Learn to draw, one small step at a time

Short lessons that start with simple shapes. No art words to memorize, no grades โ€” just look, copy the step, and move on when you are ready. Made for sitting down and taking your time.

Every drawing here starts as circles and lines. You already know those. โœŽ

Pick a lesson

Tap any picture to open it. Each lesson shows one step at a time, so you never have to guess what comes next.

Your drawing pad

Draw with your mouse, finger, or pen. Turn on a faint guide below to trace over it โ€” tracing is a real way to learn, not cheating.

Tip: start light, then fade the guide away and draw it again on your own.

Your drawing stays on this page only. Use Save my drawing to keep a copy as a picture file.

๐ŸŽฒ Daily warm-up

Two minutes of scribbling loosens up your hand before a lesson. Here is an idea:

No need to finish it. Warm-ups are allowed to be messy.

Skills in plain words

Stuck on a drawing? Try this order

  • Look for shapes. A cat is a round head, two triangle ears, and an oval body. Everything breaks down like this.
  • Draw light first. Light lines are easy to fix. Press harder only when you like the shape.
  • Big things first, details last. Eyes, whiskers, and patterns come after the main shape looks right.
  • Compare gently. Hold your drawing next to the step picture. Change one small thing at a time.
  • Rest your hand. Shake it out, roll your shoulders. Drawing is hand work โ€” breaks are part of it.
